A24’s “You Can See Everything” is projected to narrowly lead the North American box office during the Halloween weekend, with an estimated $10.6 million in its third weekend. DC Studios’ R-rated horror film “Clayface” is close behind at a projected $10.2 million in its second weekend.
The estimates would give the documentary its first No. 1 finish after it opened in second place and remained there during its first two weekends. The film is directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim and examines the rise and collapse of Elizabeth Holmes, the Theranos founder convicted of defrauding investors.
A strong run for the documentary
“You Can See Everything” is expected to reach approximately $63 million domestically. Its estimated third-weekend performance follows a $19.5 million second weekend, when the film expanded to more than 2,600 theaters.
The theatrical run has placed the documentary among the highest-grossing documentaries ever. Its performance has also prompted discussion of its awards-season prospects, including the possibility that it could become the first documentary nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture.
‘Clayface’ holds near the top
“Clayface” has collected an estimated $44 million domestically over 10 days. Its projected second-weekend result represents a 57% decline from its opening weekend, when it earned $24 million in North America and an additional $19 million internationally.
Directed by James Watkins and starring Tom Rhys Harries, the film follows an aspiring actor whose life changes after a medical procedure goes wrong. The production budget has been reported at $40 million.

Other films in the weekend race
Laika’s animated fantasy “Wildwood” is projected to place third with $6.8 million in its second weekend. That would bring its estimated 10-day domestic total to approximately $25 million.
“Wicker,” a Black Bear film starring Olivia Colman and Alexander Skarsgård, is projected to earn $4.1 million in its second weekend. Its estimated domestic total would reach $13.2 million.
The weekend estimates place the documentary and the superhero-related horror release within less than half a million dollars of each other, making the top position one of the closest races among the current theatrical releases.
