Trax Snax opens in Strebel, serves up late-night munchies

James McClendon, Editor-in-Chief

For students looking for a late-night snack, look no further than the Strebel Student Center. January 18 was the grand opening of Trax Snax, Utica College’s own version of a mini-mart.

The shop is open from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., however, students can purchase items all day by speaking with a cashier at the Pioneer register.

It is located directly outside of the Pioneer Café and offers a wide assortment of treats including chips, beverages, cookies, candy, pizza, Hot Pockets and soup. Students can purchase these items using their Flex Dollars.

Damian Boehlert, UC campus dining general manager, is focused on creating the best environment for the college community.

“We opened it [Trax Snax] here in Strebel due to student feedback and suggestions,” Boehlert said.
